Business Intelligence tool for the Sales Department
Comprehensive Business Intelligence solution for analyzing sales information.
Background
The Client is a multinational organization that operates in several countries and has multiple sales teams distributed globally. Given the growing complexity of its sales operations, the Client decided to implement Business Intelligence (BI) software to analyze and track the performance of its sales teams. After careful consideration, they selected Suris Code as their software development partner to build a solution that could help them monitor and measure sales performance at different levels, including supplier, product and area. The software could also integrate with the company’s ERP system, which would make collecting and analyzing sales data easier.
Challenges
Before implementing the BI software, the Client faced several challenges in monitoring their teams’ sales performance. One of the main ones was the inability to track sales data in a consolidated way. Sales data was often scattered across different systems and in different formats, which made consolidation and analysis difficult. As a result, the company struggled to get a clear view of sales performance across teams.
Another challenge was the lack of visibility into sales trends and patterns. Sales team performance varied across geographies and channels, and the company had no centralized system to track those variations. That made it hard to identify the best performing sales teams, understand the factors behind their success and replicate their strategies across the organization.
Results
After implementing the BI software, the Client was able to overcome those challenges and achieve several positive results. The BI software gave the company real-time access to sales data, which let the management team monitor sales performance continuously. With a centralized view of sales data, the Client was able to track sales trends and patterns, identify the best performing sales teams and gain insight into the factors behind their success.
The software’s interactive dashboards and visualization tools made it easier for the management team to analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement. The company was able to easily track sales KPIs such as revenue, profit margins and market share, and take corrective action to improve team performance.
